Slip-on Flange
Slip-On Flanges
- Design: These flanges have a flat face with a bore that allows them to slide over the end of the pipe before being welded. They are then usually welded around the top of the flange and inside the bore.
- Applications: Suitable for low to medium pressure applications. They are easier to align than weld neck flanges and often used in low-pressure systems where alignment is not critical.
- Installation: Slip-on flanges are easier to install and align but can be less strong than weld neck flanges, especially in high-pressure or high-temperature applications.
